Achievments as Commissioner

• Addressed Criminal and Loitering Concerns At Convenient Stores.

• Lobbied every year in Tallahassee securing over $3 million in State Grants 2020- Present.

• Lobbied every year in Washington DC securing close to $1 million in Federal Grants 2020- Present.

• Help secure over 10 acres of new city owned prime property located in the heart of our CRA

• Spearheaded a Code Violation Mitigation initiative. Collected over $400,000 in fines and cleared over 1000 open violations. 

• Headed up initiative to resolve / address long standing blighted properties. Resulted in increase in neighborhood appeal. (Ongoing)

• Encouraged the development of the Code Check Program. Allows residents to see if code violations exist on their property or their neighbors. Also allows residents to report code violations remotely.

• Created the Young Professional Advisory Board. Allow young Lauderhill residents or business owners (22-40) to have input in the city's direction and civic needs. (Ongoing)

• Initiated a quarterly meeting of Lauderhill's convenience store owners. Police calls to the stores dropped considerably and store owners have become involved in the local communities. (Ongoing)


• I hold an annual forum with Marty Kiar, Broward County Property Appraiser, to discuss the City Taxes. 

• Host an annual Pink Up Event for Cancer. I've donated over $30K to cancer survivors. (Ongoing)

• Leading the city's charge against Autism by introducing staff & the public to Wingate Oaks Learning Center. 

• Participated in every youth sports program the city offers. (Football, Basketball, Soccer, Track, Golf, etc.)

• Developed a seniors walking program at our parks, 55+ Walking Program. Over 200 enrollees.

• Help secured approximately $2 million for road improvements from the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO).

• Co-Sponsor quarterly feeding programs. Served over 1k people and counting. (Ongoing)

• Co-Sponsor free annual mammograms (Ongoing)
